Sue Gordon

"For as long as I can remember, I have been interested in stones and mesmerized by fire."

Sue is interested in form, texture, and surface design. Forms are often enhanced with color using stones, enamel, and resin mixed with pigment. Color can transform a piece of jewelry whether used in the crevices of an etched piece, or in soldered cells, or heated in a kiln.

Sue received her B.S. in Education from the University of Wisconsin in 1966, and her M.S. in Counseling from Baylor University in 1971. She taught art to K-3 for 12 years, and has been teaching Jewelry Fabrication at Brookhaven College, Continuing Education, for 7 years.
