Brotherton
Having studied with many nationally known watercolorists, Naomi
Brotherton realized that she could teach the subject.
A book, Variations
in Watercolor based on her work was published in 1981 and sold through
the North Light Book Club. This opened opportunities to teach workshops
across the US and Bermuda.
Brotherton has earned signature membership in Southwestern Watercolor Society, National Watercolor Oklahoma, Texas Watercolor Society, and Western Federation of Watercolor Societies, and has won numerous awards in their exhibitions through the years.
As one of the
original partners in Artisan's Studio/ Gallery in Dallas, she has
taught there for 25 years. A founding member of Southwestern Watercolor
Society, and a past president, she has been honored with Life membership.
