Karin Michele Anderson, SWS, TVAA
Karin Michele Anderson, a Dallas based artist, has been studying watercolor for 19 years, primarily with Nancy Sage Marabella, Paula Rayer Nemec, Doug Walton and Jane Stephenson. Her works have been exhibited in juried shows in Texas, Wyoming, Kentucky, Colorado, Oklahoma and New Mexico and she has won awards in Boulder, Colorado; Ingram, Texas; Mesa, Arizona; and Dallas, Texas. Karin is a signature member of Southwest Watercolor Society and Texas Visual Arts Association. Her paintings grace private collections in Canada, Georgia, South Carolina, Louisiana, New York, California, Washington, Virginia, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Colorado and Texas. She welcomes commission work as well.
Artist Statement
The subject matter for my paintings comes from life-long interests in mythology, native cultures, spirituality and nature. I hope to convey through my art a way of looking at the world that is full of wonder, excitement and curiosity. Every person, culture, situation and animal can be a teacher to us if we are open to that possibility. Above all, I would like for my art to be uplifting and to sing God's glory.

Mission Statement:
The North Dallas Artist Studio Tour is an educational art event that invites the public into working studios of North Dallas artists, allowing an intimate view of the creative process. The Tour seeks to raise public awareness of the quality and diversity of artwork being produced by local artists and to demonstrate that art adds meaning and richness to community life.
