Art is a sacred transition....
intrinsic beauty enhanced through labor and
love to create objects of personal value.
To bring a unique
aesthetic to everything I do is my goal. My work is small and intimate
(jewelry), large and public (mirrors), and a combination of both
with my JewelrySculpture© that is both art and jewelry together.
One thing leads quite naturally to the other. My love for jewelry
is a lifetime obsession that will never be completely satisfied
there
is too much to choose from
this lead me to create my own unique
style in jewelry using one of my favorite materials
glass.
Each piece of
my jewelry, whether earrings with tops made of tempered glass and
mirror or necklaces composed of color and texture, is only replicated
once or twice. These compositions are "of the moment"
and rather than repeat mass appeal work, I prefer to stretch myself
as an artist; always seeking something new to create.
This seeking
has been the guide to my latest artwork; the antiquing of mirrors,
and mirror art. Adornment of public space whether in a home or the
lobby of some grand building is just an extension of jewelry
.for
the environment.
As an artist
my greatest joy is in the discovery of something new and interesting
to do with the materials I'm drawn to. So, glass, mirror, exotic
stones, paint, color, texture and light are the key elements that
ignite my own personal form of creative magic. Adorn and embellish
.have
fun!
