Jane Stephenson, NWS "Being an Artist is a way of living with joy; learning and sharing the worlds beauty." Jane’s strong technical skills and brave bold use of color display her unique depth of understanding in her art works. She is a signature member of the National Watercolor Society, the Southwestern Watercolor Society, Texas Visual Arts Association, Texas Watercolor Society, Purple Sage Brush Society, Louisiana Watercolor Society, and Mississippi Watercolor Society. She is a member of the Western Federation of Arts and is listed in Who's Who of American Women. Jane has shown her work in regional museums in Odessa and Carlsbad and has a painting in the permanent collection of the Mississippi Art Museum in Jackson. Jane taught in the Dallas Independent School District and Dallas County Community College District. Jane has shown in “Art in the Metroplex”. American Artist Magazine named her in the top 50 experimental artists in the US. Jane jurors local and regional shows Dallas Businessmen Assoc. Art on My Own Time and The Dallas 500 Inc. sponsored Art fest. She has exhibited paintings at the Dallas Opera. Jane’s work was shown in Milan, Italy Art Without Borders with the Southwestern Watercolor Society and the Milan Watercolor Society. Jane has won over 150 awards in Major exhibitions, is a signature member in the National Watercolor Society and is listed in Who’s Who in American Women. Mission Statement The North Dallas Artist Studio Tour is an educational art event that invites the public into working studios of North Dallas artists, allowing an intimate view of the creative process. The Tour seeks to raise public awareness of the quality and diversity of artwork being produced by local artists and to demonstrate that art adds meaning and richness to community life. |
