Jane's strong technical skills and brave, bold use of color display
her unique depth of understanding in her art works.
Jane earned
her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Louisiana Tech. She continued graduate
studies at the University of Colorado, Southern Methodist University
and The University of Texas, Dallas.
She taught watercolor
painting and drawing in the Continuing Education program at North
Lake College as well as at the Creative arts Center in Dallas. She
also teaches from her home studio.
She has been
an active jurist in Louisiana and Texas for the last 20 years and
has served as a juror for the Dallas Businessmen's Assoc. "On
My Own Time" and the Dallas 500 Inc. sponsored Art Fest.
Jane has received
over 150 awards in Regional, State and National exhibitions. In
1993, The Artist Magazine listed her as one of the nation's "Top
50 Experimental Artists". She has received three Grumbacher
awards, and two Windsor Newton awards for furthering the exploration
of the watercolor medium.
She is a signature
member of the National Watercolor Society, the Southwestern Watercolor
Society, Texas Visual Arts Association, Texas Watercolor Society:
Purple Sage Brush Society, Louisiana Watercolor Society, and Mississippi
Watercolor Society. Jane is a member of the Western Federation of
Arts and is listed in Who's Who of American Women.

Mission Statement
The North Dallas Artist
Studio Tour is an educational art event that invites the public
into working studios of North Dallas artists, allowing an intimate
view of the creative process. The Tour seeks to raise public awareness
of the quality and diversity of artwork being produced by local
artists and to demonstrate that art adds meaning and richness to
community life.
