Brad Ellis

Brad Ellis has been exhibiting his work in art galleries, public spaces and other venues since 1987. This is his first year to participate in the North Dallas Artist Studio Tour.

Mr. Ellis creates vibrant, abstract paintings that feature bold colors and combines various mediums such as encaustic, oil, acrylic and collage. His process of making art is labor intensive and involves many layers and applications of these mediums to build up various textures and surface treatments. His paintings have a very physical presence and convey a sense of movement, motion and fluidity.

Brad Ellis has a BFA degree from the University of Tulsa and his work is in many private and corporate collections across the United States . He is represented by galleries in Dallas, Chicago, Santa Fe, Scottsdale , and Seattle.

Mission Statement
The North Dallas Artist Studio Tour is an educational art event that invites the public into working studios of North Dallas artists, allowing an intimate view of the creative process. The Tour seeks to raise public awareness of the quality and diversity of artwork being produced by local artists and to demonstrate that art adds meaning and richness to community life.
