Annie Davis
When I was a little girl, I used to love to roam up and down the creek beds collecting stuff. My older cousin, an art teacher, showed me how to dig clay and make little dolls out of the clay. We dressed our little dolls in flowers with thistle hair. And Whalla! A sculptor was born. I have studied with the best: Octavio Medellin, James Surles, David Newton, Bill Jamison, Art Shier, Liz Wagoner, Lincoln Fox and best George Davis. But the most fun was on the Haggard farm with my cousin Quincy.
I still love making little clay nudes but I now weld, work with fused glass and play with shapes and color. Come play with me at the North Dallas Open Studio Tour and I promise to make Chocolate Chip Cookies.
