Anne
Norvell
After working as a commercial artist, raising four diverse and talented
daughters, being active in her community, Anne worked and taught as a
printmaker for fifteen years. Her studio, in Lakewood and later in
Deep Ellum, was a place for artist workshops and a variety of art
projects including Dallas Soars. Always a colorist, her focus is now on
layering colors in fused glass and watercolor.
She has exhibited in museums and galleries and has work in collections
in Colorado, California, Florida, Nebraska, Japan, New Mexico, Montana
and, of course, Texas. Ten Dallas scenes in watercolor can be seen in
the new Baylor emergency wing and twenty of her monotypes are
permanently installed in the San Jacinto Tower in downtown Dallas.
Now she fashions fused glass art pieces which, when hung in windows,
reveal layers of gorgeous colors in abstracted landscapes.
You will find her working in Taos, New Mexico as well as her home
studio in Dallas.

of the quality and diversity of artwork being produced by local
artists and to demonstrate that art adds meaning and richness to
community life.
